Bald Head Island
Having spent many summers in Nags Head, NC, the clients wanted their new house to echo the forms of those wonderful beach cottages. Nineteenth century wrap-around porches, shingle siding, and a multi-pitched roof line were just some of the design elements John chose to capture the essence of “Old Nags Head.” As the client often hosted extended family and friends, large open spaces were achieved by supporting the long spans with old wood beams. With entertaining and gourmet cooking high on the list, the kitchen was designed to accommodate the needs of the most particular home chef.
