Landfall
This couple, interested in gourmet cooking, horticulture and woodworking, wanted their Landfall house to incorporate and reflect these pastimes. As a result, John created a home that brings the inside and outside together. Inspired by the English country home and its Vernacular tradition, the length of the house faces toward the south, maximizing sunlight and views of the exterior gardens. A conservatory and large bank of French doors open to a tiled patio with gardens beyond. A similar expanse separates the master suite from the living area by a screen porch. A woodworking shop and greenhouse extend from the house to provide privacy from the street, where they meet the garden and patio area.
